About us

The history of the company LBK PERLIT, s.r.o., processing and mining of perlite dates back to the 1960s, when the first plant for processing and treatment of perlite was built in Lehotka pod Brehmi, near the place of perlite mining. The first plant for processing raw perlite had a capacity of 10 000 tonnes.

Over time, the plant and the technology for processing raw pearlite developed and evolved until 2015, which was a breakthrough year for the company.

In 2015, the company with the current name was established and the two multinational companies LASSELSBERGER group and KNAUF became the owners.

In the same year, project work began on a new line for the processing of raw perlite, which was completed and resulted in the construction of this line, worth several million euros, and which can be described as one of the most modern of its kind in Europe, with a raw perlite processing capacity of aproximately cca 100 000 tonnes of perlite per year.

The completion and successful series start-up of the line is scheduled for 2017.

The year 2017 also marked not only the successful start of production at the modern production facility and plant, but also the opportunity to meet the most demanding requirements of our partners across Europe, both in terms of quality and sharpness of raw pearlite sorting, as well as increased delivery volumes, as well as enabling our company to reach out to new and more demanding partners.

The company has adopted the philosophy and working style represented by its renowned foreign owners, the LASSELSBERGER group and the KNAUF group, which is to offer partners quality products with high added value at a level that reaches even the most demanding requirements. The company achieves all its goals with a strong focus on environmental protection and with an emphasis on long-term, sustainable growth.

The company has started working at a previously unfeasible level and currently has its own sales and technical department, its own quality management department, including a well-equipped laboratory, which are technically and linguistically equipped and available to meet even the most demanding requirements of its partners.
